heres some pics of me and dan recording vocals for the billy knuckles recording.
and fyi. i went with the 57 track mostly, with a little of the crappy marshall mic blended in. sounds good for his style of vocals imho.

i just so happened to have my drums torn down for tuning when he came over, so i got a wild hair up my ass and set up my drums as a sort of resonating beast to compliment his vocals possibly. my drums resonate awesomely. soo much so that you can just yell at them and hear them ring. i love it. anways. my idea was to put my rode nt5s on em pretty hot and record them and see what happens sorta. im gonna try blending them in later. will get back to you on how it sounds.

i should clarify. pictures of where and what i recorded. here they are. enjoy.

this bass seriously is like 100 pounds. solid and heavy as hell body, and it has one of those fancy machined necks that some of those hipsters use on guitars. albini maybe? albini would cry though. bass has no DI

what a beastly amp. so purty. so white. i dont think any venue in town has needed a mic for it since he got it. i wanna hear it on 10 in a huge venue soon. then, and only then will this thing truly be appreciated i believe.

justins head. loud.

justins cab. a 58 close to the grill sounded wonderful on his setup. thats it. 58. im soo ghetto.

dustins kit. i dare say his kick wouldnt need a mic live also. damn loud. damn big. i love. 602 on the kick. my rode nt5s overhead. 57 on snare to fill it in. came out pretty good. in retrospect, i would have done the overheads just for cymbals and put mics on the toms. oh well. first recording. i have some leeway.

random photo. on yeah. sorry. didnt take any photos of jeff doing vocals the next day. you dont wanna see that. things got ugly, but we persevered, and came out alive.

so a purty little birdy got me some amazing delicious, and most likely amazing expensive steaks for christmas. imported all the way from japan. 2 filet mignons, 2 tenderloins, 2 ribeyes, and 2 new york strips. all i can say for now is that the bar has now been set waaaay higher than i ever thought it could. twice as good as the best steak ive ever had in my life. seriously. if you are dining somewhere, and it says kobe beef on the menu, you should definitely get it, no matter what. heres some random pics concerning said subject…
p.s. wagyu is japanese for kobe, or so i am told…
here ya go!
heres the kobe beef we had in vegas. 40 bucks for 4 pieces, and worth every penny.

heres one of the boxes. i got 2 with one of each in it.

uncooked…

cooked…

so who wants to let me cook for them? hmmm?

check out some pre cooked pics of some food that we had at my party. good stuff…
brats from ideal grocery soaked overnight in spaten and freshly crushed garlic. damn tasty they were.

delicious delicious steaks. it tears me up just thinkin about how good they were. they should just change the name of steaks to god meat, because that is truly one of the only fitting descriptions for it…
before the mistys seasoning…

and after…

damn tasty… more pics later… nappy time… ta ta!
